Spent 1-1/2 hours walking around the Bisti entrance ... the area contains volcanic ash, sandstone, coal and limestone. I would definitely come back and do the De-Na-Zin entrance. The turn off route 371, some 36 miles south of Farmington, is well marked. The gravel road from there to the parking lot is fine and the distance short, maybe a couple of miles.
