I had the standard FITECH defective coolant temp sensor and replaced, so now get correct temps. Yes, it also has a minimum temp before it can be adjusted, also 160. I was figuring all getting the IAC open would help it control that better by giving it a better open starting point. Going positive seemed to improve the rich bog but i do get a hanging idle a bit.
