The pressure on the nozzle is normally higher due to the flexible nature of the filament, so if you constantly change the pressure with the hops, it will result in a bad combination of stringing and under extrusion. 7. WebbI used the print quality troubleshooting guide published by Simplify 3D, but can't seem to locate equivalent settings in Cura.(That said, I'm very satisfied with much of my print quality as it has evolved over the last 2 months.) To try and mitigate scarring on the top layer, I found the "Z Hop when retracted" setting in Cura.

When a z-hop occurred, the filament would just fall out and would miss the first portion on the next layer. I found that the temp was way too high.
